2012 Republican primaries

The Republican primaries are the Selection processes In which voters Of the Republican party Will choose their Nominee for President of the United states in the 2012 election. There are 2286 delegates and a candidate needs 1,144 delegates to win. The two leaders of the 2012 Republican primaries are Matt Romney and Newt Gingrich. Mitt Romney is an American Businessman and politician. He was the 70th governor of Massachusetts from 2003 to 2007 and this year he plans on being our next president of the united states. Newt Gingrich is an American Politician, author, Political consultant, who served as The 58th Speaker Of The U.S house of Representatives from 1995 to 1999. He represented Georgia's 6th Congressional district as a republican from 1979 until his resignation in 1999. He now plans on competing against Mitt Romney for the republican spot to go up against Barrack Obama to become the president of the united states. Both of these men are highly popular in the republican party and it'll be a close race until the republican convention on August 27,2012- August 30,2012 where they will make the final decision of who they will elect to represent the Republican party in the presidential election. This Republican convention will be held in Tampa Florida and the Republican candidates will be given their last chance to say stuff that will persuade the republican party voters to vote for them. So this will be a very important convention and a lot of steam from the two candidates since one of them will lose their chance to become the next president of the united states. So this is some interesting information about the Republican primaries.
